This course will give emphasis to ‘omics’ technologies and bioinformatics analysis applied massively for studies of species diversity, identification of new species, and bioprospecting. Some of the methods to be covered include biodiversity databases, data mining, NGS and ‘omics’ technologies applied to biodiversity studies, and molecular phylogenetics.
